Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê (/ˈojɪ/ /ˈvëhë/ [sudden; abrupt] [siege]) is a subtropical Town located in the Betebê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê was founded by Phaenus Trêyêv, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê receives an average of 211 cm/y (83 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Overview

Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê was founded durring the late 15th century in summer of the year 1359, by Phaenus Trêyêv. The establishment of Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Phaenus Trêyêv electing to pay people to resettle in Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê.

Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of narrow packed earth streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the town's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. Unfortuantly, these top tier civilian fortifications are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Right off the bat Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The town is very clearly a joyfull place as well as wealthy. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

Cultural Notes

Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê's locals despise outsiders. For some “outsiders” may be natives of foreign lands, while others might have a grudge against anyone from outside the community. These locals have an active loathing, and the outsiders allowed to trade or interact with them do so at a heavy disadvantage.

Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its buildings being predominantly formed through the combination of basic geometric shapes. However, it shown in the detailing given to the structures such as its characteristic tall columns, intricate detail, symmetry, harmony, and balance in their designs to an astonishing degree of precision. Decorative elements for the buildings tended to be built into the structure itself, making great use of fluting, frescoes, inlays, and embossing.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê lost 144 people, 272 livestock, and 31 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 103, when members of Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê's militia enacted an operation to transport a specific powerful weapon to a particular port unharmed. The operation was complicated by extremely dangerous terrain, including unfamiliar and poisonous plants which many ate while foraging. The conflict ended with a last stand against the enemy until a particular event occurred, which ended in victory for Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Bëpit-vëhë Fêqê's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
